This program is off the hook... :D

With your permission, I'd like to post a link to your utility on my website, www.MaddenUniversity.com. It's a not for profit site (its actually just a hobby).

Let me know if it's OK...

Absolutely. You can link all you'd like. In fact I'll make an image available for you as well.

BTW, I tried replying to your email originally. It was bounced.

Awesome Job, bro! I'd like to post it on my site as well. It's a league site and is not-for-profit, but I'm sure the guys in the league would dig this tool. The site is www.BossBallers.com. Let me know.

P.S. have you considered adding functionality to this app that would allow it to search through your email and load it into the database automagically? Kind of like Act! does for remote user's database syncs? If you added that, this app would be the BEST thing to happen to the Madden Community in some time!

Yes, I contemplated that. However, it’s quite difficult to do. I could actually connect to the email server download the email and import it into the database. Problem is that each person would have to change settings on their email accounts. After much thought I decided it was a level of difficulty that would possibly cause users to turn away from the program.

As far as connecting to the mail app’s database there are just too many out there. Not to mention the fact that I’m a Mac user so I wouldn’t even have a Windows mail app to test with.

Feel free to post to your website.

Hey Rocket,
Cool program. If you are looking for a new program to develop, here is one I'd PAY for. I'd really like something to scout opponets with. There are several programs out there for high school, college, pro's etc. but they are either too expensive, too complicated to setup (putting in teams, players, plays, etc.), or just too clunky to use.

So if you're feeling ambitous, here's my wish list. The program allows you to import teams and rosters from the web, playbooks would be nice but don't know where you could download those from. Then you could have it running on a PC (laptop in my case) and point and click or use hotkeys to track offensive plays, defensive plays, time, down/distance, results, blitzs, etc. One of the Madden fan sites has a great scouting sheet in Excel that would be a great model to start from. Like I said, I'd pay for something like this, easily worth $20-$40 for hardcore league players that play the same people.
